ofessor in the School of Education at Southern Illinois University. She ea
rned her doctorate in higher education administration and an M.A. in histo
ry at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Donahoo complete
d her B.A. in secondary education at the University of Arizona. Her resear
ch interests include legal issues affecting education\, educational policy
\, international/comparative education\, and educational diversity and equ
ity for K-12 and postsecondary education. She has also served as an associ
ate editor for media reviews for the Journal of Student Affairs Research a
nd Practice. Her published works include co-editing Teaching Leaders to Le
ad Teachers: Educational Administration in the Era of Constant Crisis and
articles in Teachers College Record\, Equity &\; Excellence in Educatio
n\, Christian Higher Education\, Urban Education\, Race and Justice\, and
Education and Urban Society as well as an array of book chapters. Dr. Dona
hoo's recent research examines connections between hair\, identity\, caree
rs\, and postsecondary education. Her professional activities focus on hel
ping students navigate campus life\, complete their degrees\, and transiti
on into their careers.
