The Perennial Pandemic: Racism, Black Antipathy, and the Ivory Tower

In this Raines Colloquium hosted by Michigan State University, OCCRL Director Eboni Zamani-Gallaher will examine the role of race and racism in higher education, discussing the negative racial affect that undergirds anti-Blackness on two- and four-year campuses. Other topics will include the conflation of diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts; the misnomer of multicultural self-efficacy as a panacea for racism; and the disproportionate inequality specific to the embodiment of Blackness.
