Illinois State Board of Education High School Programs of Study
Programs of Study (POS) is a critical component of the federal Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Improvement Act passed by the U.S. Congress in August 2006. The OCCRL team helped lead Illinois in the design and implementation of POS at three Illinois high schools, all of whom are High Schools that Work. Using Pathways to Results (PTR) as a methodology to implement POS in pilot high schools, OCCRL staff will provide professional development and technical assistance to high school leaders and POS Implementation Teams.
Goals
