Holly Herrera

Associate Provost for Transfer Initiatives and Academic Partnerships at Columbia College Chicago

For 14 years, Dr. Herrera has worked in the areas of higher education program creation, coordination, and administration of two- to four-year transfer partnerships. By focusing on access and adjustment throughout my career, she has worked closely with campus administrations to decrease barriers for students by facilitating campus-wide discussions of how to establish a transfer-receptive and inclusive culture. Her research focuses on the academic and social adjustment of community college students who participated in a unique concurrent enrollment program and then transferred to that institution. Throughout her career and education, she has demonstrated commitment to increasing access to higher education through community college partnerships and supporting initiatives that are integral to increasing opportunities for community college students.
