Breaking Through

Breaking Through promoted an expanded and enhanced role for community college to access college by low-skilled adults. Breaking Through was uniquely important in its systematic integration of adult education, developmental education, career-technical education, and career planning and preparation in community colleges geographically distributed throughout the US. Through the creation of a variety of models, Breaking Through envisioned contextualized and accelerated curriculum and instruction to assist low-skilled adults to progress through adult basic education and/or developmental education to college credit course work, credentials and family wage-sustaining careers.
