Minnesota

A total of seven universities and 24 community and technical colleges participate in CWID through the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) system, and the University of Minnesota participates through a separate Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with community colleges throughout the state. Most MnSCU universities have the authority to confer the associate’s degree, so community and technical colleges as well as universities may seek student consent and confer reverse transfer associate’s degrees. Supporting MnSCU’s reverse transfer efforts is the MnSCU Smart Transfer Plan that was endorsed in 2012 by MnSCU presidents to create a student-friendly transfer environment within the state. Visit the Minnesota’s CWID Website to learn more about Minnesota's reverse transfer process.
